As a person, I have also had my own turbulent journey in facing my own traumas with compassion and understanding. As a professional counsellor, I have training in trauma-informed therapy and using specific approaches to make sure you feel safe and supported while exploring difficult emotions. My background as a teacher gave me first-hand experience of the emotional challenges young people face, and I was frustrated by the lack of available psychological support. If you're between 11 and 18, my goal as a counsellor is to use my training in adolescent psychology and my own personal experience of a challenging adolescence to create a space where your concerns are taken seriously and not ignored. I understand the difficulties you may be going through because I've dealt with bullying, school refusal, mental health issues, abuse, and poverty during my own teenage years. Additionally, as an ex-teacher, I understand the pressures and anxieties that come with the profession. If you're an education professional, I aim to provide a non-judgmental space where you can express your most challenging emotions.
